Volunteer Information

Mann PTA is always in need of volunteers! Due to many of our activities happening during the school day, all PTA volunteers need to have a volunteer application on file with the Springfield School District.

For more infmation on this process and to submit your volunteer application, please visit sps.org/volunteer. This process can take up to four weeks, especially at the beginning of the school year. Mann PTA Volunteer Needs

Mann PTA has a full calendar of events and activities planned for the upcoming school year, but we need YOUR help to make everything possible! We need to expand our volunteer base and know we have a great fit for you! Below we have listed most of our events for the year and some ongoing projects as well. Please review the list and email us at teammannpta@gmail.com if you want to volunteer for anything. Thank you in advance for helping us make this a great year for our students!

Student Directory: Help with printing and putting together the student directory.

Open House: Help with selling PTA memberships and other items at the PTA table, selling raffle tickets, and selling Culver’s custard

Fall Pictures: Work with the photographers to help students go through the picture line in an orderly fashion.

Fall Fest: Help plan the event, set up on the day of, run games, help with food and drink prep, help clean up.

Monster Mash Boo Bash: Help plan, set up, run event.

Fall Book Fair: Help students shop and pay for books.

Holiday Store: Wrap items, set up, help students shop and pay for gifts.

Candy Cane Gram Sales: Help put together and hand out student candy grams.

Penny War: Help count money collected in jars on a daily basis.

My Guy & Me Dance: Help plan, set up, decorate, and run the dance.

My Gal & Me Event: Help plan, set up, decorate, and run the event.

Teacher Appreciation Week: Help organize events, pick up food items, and set everything out.

Yearbook Committee: Ongoing throughout the year. Take pictures at events and during the school day to be used in the yearbook.

Student Incentives Committee: Ongoing throughout the year. Help hand out quartlery incentives to students.

First Fridays Committee: Ongoing throughout the year. Help plan and organize special treat days for teachers and students on the first Friday of each month.
